Zirkel Optics is proud to welcome U.S. Snowboard Team athlete Cody Winters to the Global Team. A fierce competitor with deep Colorado roots, Cody brings a mix of tenacity, style, and passion to the slopes—and now to our eco-performance mission.
Born and raised in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Cody cut his teeth on some of the best snow in the country. From a young age, he gravitated toward the speed and precision of alpine snowboarding, quickly rising through the ranks to become one of the top riders in the U.S. His relentless dedication and sharp focus earned him a spot on the U.S. Snowboard Team, where he's continued to push boundaries on the world stage, representing the United States at World Cups and the Olympic Games.
But Cody isn’t just defined by podiums and performance—he’s deeply connected to the mountains that shaped him. That connection extends beyond sport, aligning perfectly with Zirkel Optics' mission: merging innovation, sustainability, and community into every product we make.

Cody Winters, a U.S. Snowboard Team athlete from Steamboat Springs, Colorado, has dedicated his life to the pursuit of excellence on snow. Specializing in alpine disciplines like slalom and giant slalom, Cody is known for his technical skill, explosive speed, and unwavering drive.
Growing up in the rugged Rockies, Cody developed a deep respect for the outdoors. His racing career has taken him across the globe, including appearances at the Winter Olympics and FIS World Cup events. Off the hill, Cody is an advocate for outdoor stewardship and mentorship, often giving back to young athletes in his hometown.
As he continues to chase the world’s fastest lines, Cody does so with a clear purpose: to represent his country and protect the mountains he calls home. Now partnered with Zirkel Optics, Cody rides with gear that reflects his values—innovative, sustainable, and built for performance.
