Raised in Colorado, Shawn spent his early years chasing speed and style, drawing inspiration from BMX and downhill legends like Aitken, Foster, Graves, and Rennie. “Bikes have been at the center of my life for as long as I can remember,” says Neer. That lifelong obsession eventually launched him into the global racing spotlight with iconic teams like Yeti/Fox Racing, where he competed at the sport’s highest level and earned a championship title with his teammates.
Today, Shawn continues to push boundaries—not just on the bike, but through filmmaking, coaching, and trail building. A decade-long career in elite racing saw Shawn travel the globe with Yeti/Fox Racing, collecting podiums and a world title along the way. But his story doesn’t end at the finish line. These days, Shawn is carving new trails—literally and figuratively—as a filmmaker, trail builder, and coach, bringing the next generation into the world of mountain biking with heart and purpose. Driven by passion and a deep connection to the outdoors, Shawn has shifted focus from number plates to narrative—capturing the essence of riding through film and media, while giving back to the trails and communities that shaped him.
